Pittsburgh Man Accused In Homestead Waterfront Killing

A Pittsburgh man is charged with homicide in the shooting death of a man at the Waterfront in Homestead earlier this month.

Brendan Brooks, 29, of Pittsburgh, was shot at about 4 a.m. June 28 near the Eat N' Park restaurant on East Waterfront Drive.

Freedom Bey, 34, last known to be from the Larimer area, was found at a friend's house in Homestead and arrested a few days later, Allegheny County police said.

Bey's case was sent to trial after a preliminary hearing Wednesday. A trial date has not been set.
