Firefighters were forced to evacuate a Westmoreland County nursing home after the alarm sounded overnight.

The fire happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday at the TLC Personal Care Home in West Newton.

The main cause of the evacuation was not the fire itself, but the heavy smoke it caused.

No one was hurt and residents have moved back into the building.
