2008 PITTSBURGH -- Two teenagers who started to recount details of a fatal shooting in Pittsburgh ended up arrested Sunday afternoon.Pittsburgh police said the two 17-year-olds robbed a convenience store at gunpoint not too long before they started talking to Channel 4 Action News about a shooting in the city's Mount Washington neighborhood overnight. The teens were found in their neighborhood not far from the Cogo's on Bailey Avenue. Police charged the teens with robbery after the convenience store clerk reported the incident."I was like, 'Excuse me, you guys look familiar. Are you guys from around here?' They said, 'No, we're from Beltzhoover,'" said the victim, who asked to remain anonymous. "I was like, all right. That's when they were like, 'Oh, hold on for a second.' They pulled the gun out, they pointed the gun to my face and I just gave them everything I had."The victim said the teens got two packs of cigarettes, $26 and a lighter -- which police said officers discovered in the teens' pockets.Officers found a loaded gun in the bushes in the neighborhood. Police said they happened upon the teenagers when the boys started saying they had information on the overnight shooting nearby that killed a teenage girl (More)."They were trying to sell information to the news media on the shooting last night and they had just robbed the store right around the corner, like 15 minutes earlier," Pittsburgh police Sgt. Anthony Viscomi said.While police filed charges against the suspects, the clerk said he's happy to be alive."I was going to run, but I didn't want to get shot," he said.The victim was not hurt.
