2008 DORMONT, Pa. -- Police arrested Keystone Oaks Area Soccer Club coach George Carvlin Thursday in Monroe County after he allegedly sent child porn to a detective posing as a 14-year-old girl.KOA Soccer President John Brosnan told WTAE Channel 4 Action News that he never saw this coming, and added that he has known Carvlin for years.“It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to us, and I am devastated by the whole thing,” Brosnan said.Brosnan said Carvlin has been “removed from everything related to soccer.”For years, Carvlin served as coach of an under-17 club made up of kids from Green Tree, Castle Shannon and Dormont. He is also a Boy Scout leader in Dormont.Police said Carvlin told the detective who was posing as a girl that he wanted her to perform sex acts and made arrangements to meet her in Canadensis. When he showed up, he was taken into custody, police said."We're shocked by the arrest, and frankly so shocked that I personally won’t believe it until it’s proven in court,” Brosnan said.Carvlin posted bond and returned to Dormont over the weekend. It's not yet known when he will need to return to Monroe County for a preliminary hearing.
