Police say a train derailed in Washington County Saturday morning, sending a tanker containing hazardous material into a nearby creek.

According to police, one tanker leaked styrene monomer, a clear, colorless, flammable liquid used to make plastics. No injuries are reported.

The derailment of the train occurred shortly before 11 a.m. near Avella.

Investigators believe one of the car's wheels came loose, damaging railroad ties, before it eventually pulled other cars off with it.
