Penn Hills Man Charged In Shooting Outside Homewood Bar
Victim Critical; 19-Year-Old Identified By Surveillance Video

PITTSBURGH -- A Penn Hills man is in custody in connection with a shooting outside a Homewood bar that left another man in critical condition.Police said the victim, who has not been identified, was shot outside Earl The Pearl Tavern on Kelly Street shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday.The suspect -- Tramaine Solomon, 19 -- was arrested early Thursday and charged with aggravated assault, attempted homicide and a firearms violation, police said.
Surveillance video of the shooting helped Pittsburgh homicide detectives identify Solomon as a suspect, police said.A motive for the shooting has not been discussed by police.In January 2007, a 25-year-old man was shot and killed outside the same bar. No arrests were made in that case.
