High Winds,Thunderstorms Hit Southwestern Pa.

Trees Uprooted Power Lines Downed

High winds and strong thunderstorms uprooted numerous trees and downed power lines throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania Sunday afternoon.

At least two houses, one in Edgewood and the other in Brownsville, were struck by trees topped by the high winds.

Thousands of residents thoughout Southwestern Pennsylvania were without power. The largest number of people without electricity were in Fayette and Westmoreland counties.

There were no reports of injuries.
