After about one year, a new children's hospital will open in Pittsburgh's Lawrenceville neighborhood.

Hospital administrators took members of the press on a tour of the new building Saturday.

They said the whole project is designed to be family-friendly, as well as environmentally friendly.

The administrators said one challenge is meeting their goal of being a completely paperless hospital.

They said it is their goal to keep all medical records electronically.

Officials said the new children's hospital will create hundreds of hospital-related jobs and thousands of other jobs in the Lawrenceville community.
