Hopewell Twp. Motorcycle Crash Kills Woman

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- An overnight motorcycle crash in Hopewell Township, Beaver County, killed one person and injured another.The accident happed at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday on Route 60, near the Aliquippa exit.The passenger, identified as Katheryn Shafer, 59, of East Liverpool, Ohio, was killed in the crash, police said.
The driver, Daniel Shafer, 58, was flown to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh in critical condition.Police said Daniel Shafer lost control of the motorcycle after getting a flat tire, which caused the motorcycle to roll.
