Twenty-two cars from two freight trains derailed in South Huntingdon Township Sunday morning.

CSX said it happened when a westbound train jumped the tracks, spilling 10 of its cars. Shortly after that derailment, an eastbound freight train struck one of the derailed cars, causing 12 of its cars to go off the tracks.

CSX said there were no injuries. It said crews were trying to keep a leak from a car containing paint additives from flowing into a nearby creek.

There is no word yet from CSX on the cause of the derailment or how long it will take to remove the railroads cars.
