Drink Tax Lawsuit Grows

Liquor Retailers, License Holders Added To Suit

The lawsuit was already big, but now the lawsuit surrounding the drink tax is getting bigger.

Restaurant and bar owners went ahead Wednesday and added the names of every retail liquor license holder in Allegheny County to their suit against the drink tax.

That means the case is now a class action filing.

The group said it is also pushing for a referendum on the fall ballot that would strike down the 10 percent tax on poured drinks.
