Three people have been arrested in connection with a shooting in a school parking lot in Monroeville early Tuesday morning.

Monroeville police told Channel 4 Action News that the victim, an unidentified man, made plans to meet a group of men outside Sunrise School on Aura Drive.

When the man arrived with his girlfriend, there was a fight in the parking lot of the school, which was closed at the time, police said.

The 20-year-old victim, whose name has not being released, was shot in the abdomen and taken to West Penn Hospital-Forbes Regional Campus, then transferred to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, police said. He is in critical condition but expected to live, police said.

Police said they believe Christopher Jackson, 22, was the gunman, but are also charging Antonio Ross, 18, and Jordan Smith, 17. All three are charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, robbery and conspiracy.

Allegheny County police said the 17-year-old has been charged as an adult.

The shooting is not school-related, police said.
