Lightning Hits Baldwin Home Again

POSTED: 8:16 am EDT April 24, 2008
UPDATED: 8:41 am EDT April 24, 2008

A house on Custer Avenue in Baldwin was struck by lightning Wednesday night, and it wasn't the first time.

A man was sitting inside the house reading a book when lightning tore through the chimney.

A neighbor was quick to the rescue when the bolt hit. The neighbor helped the man escape from the house which had caught fire.

Firefighters arrived and were able to put out the flames.

The man's father built the house. When the man was a kid, the house was also struck by lightning.
