A lawsuit over the death of a Pittsburgh soldier in Iraq has been moved to federal court.

Staff Sgt. Ryan Maseth, 24, of Shaler, was taking a shower in January when he received an electric shock. Officials blamed an improperly wired water pump for his death.

Maseth's mother, Cheryl Harris, said defense contractor KBR, which built the building, was given notice of improper wiring and asked to fix the problem in February 2007.

Maseth, a career soldier, was stationed in Baghdad with the Green Berets.
