UNIONTOWN, Pa. -- Joe Hardy, the 84-year-old lumber multimillionaire from Fayette County, is officially divorced from his 23-year-old bride of just four months.

WTAE Channel 4's news exchange partners at the Tribune-Review reported that a judge has signed off on the split between Hardy, the founder of 84 Lumber, and Kristin Georgi, who worked at the Hardy family-owned Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.

Hardy wed Georgi at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas in May 2007 -- then filed papers to end what he called their "irretrievably broken" marriage in August.

It was Hardy's third failed marriage. The flamboyant philanthropist and ex-county commissioner was briefly linked to 22-year-old Danielle Golden, of Dunbar, soon after he filed the divorce papers.

Georgi's mother has said that the former bride was preparing to write a book using notes kept in her journal during the marriage.

Shortly after filing for his latest divorce, Joe Hardy was last romantically linked to 22-year-old Danielle Golden, of Dunbar. There is no word on if the two are currently together.

Hardy continues to work to spur local development and revitalize the downtown Uniontown area.
