Plans For Canon-McMillan Alumni Bridge Project To Go On Public Display

UPDATED: 1:30 pm EST February 8, 2008

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will host a public plans display for the Canon-McMillan Alumni Bridge project over Interstate 79 in North Strabane Township.

The proposed project will be presented for public input on Feb. 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Canon-McMillan High School auditorium in Canonsburg.

PennDOT said it's developing final design plans for the rehabilitation of the bridge.

At the public display, neighbors will be able to see how PennDOT thinks the project would impact local traffic and businesses.

Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2008.
