Wecht Trial Day 28 - March 25, 2008: Jury Watch Day 4

9:41 AM This morning at 8:30 the jurors in the trial of Dr. Cyril Wecht began their fourth day of deliberations. They're back from an extended holiday weekend break after recessing last Thursday afternoon at 2:00 PM.

There's no sign of prosecution or defense attorneys or of Dr. Wecht. All are on notice from the judge to be available within 10 minutes if the jury has another question for the court. In the event of a verdict, Judge Arthur Schwab has said he'll allow an hour for all interested parties to gather in the courtroom.

11:35 AM After three hours of deliberating, the jurors are enjoying an early lunch as they continue their work. Their pizza was delivered several minutes ago. They've now deliberated a total of 19 1/2 hours.

2:00 PM. The jury has just left for the day. After a total of 22 hours of deliberating over the course of four work days, they've not yet reached a verdict in the trial of Dr. Cyril Wecht. They'll be back to continue tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM.
