Route 88 In Bethel Park Reopen After Contractor Hits Gas Line

BETHEL PARK, Pa. -- Route 88 in Bethel Park was closed for a number of hours early Thursday afternoon after a contractor working in the area struck a gas line.According to Bethel Park police, a 4-inch Equitable Gas line was hit between Broughton and Brightwood roads just before 1 p.m.Crews were able to cap the line and reopen the road.
