Allegheny County officials tallied up drink tax totals, and they said that in one month, more than $2.8 million is in the county coffers.

County officials said about 80 percent of active license-holders paid their 10 percent fee for the month of January.

The County Treasurer's Office said it will now seek out those who did not pay to find out why.

The county expects to raise $28 million this year from the drink tax and an additional $4 million from the rental car tax.
