Allegheny County's new drink tax is almost 3 months old, and the first payments to the county are due on Monday.

Local liquor license owners must submit 10 percent of their alcohol earnings, the law states.

But County Treasurer John Weinstein said a lot of the early returns are full of errors and miscalculations.

The county said it expects returns from all license holders, even if they are not active.

Bar owners face fines of $300 or more and possible jail time for repeat violations, officials said.
