Eight dogs lost their owner in a tragic accident back in January.

Now each one is looking for a place to call home.

The dogs were brought to the Pet Adoption League in Westmoreland County.

Their owner was 49-year old Susan Mongell.

She died after she was trapped inside her burning car.

It happened outside her home in Dunbar Township, Fayette County.

Rescue workers says Mongell took very good care of the dogs.

They are known at the shelter as the Orphan 8 ranging from medium to large sizes.

Rescue workers believe it won't take much time for any of the dogs to fit right in to a new family.

For every dog adopted a company plans to donate a year's supply of dog food.
