A volunteer softball coach from Waynesburg is headed to prison for having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old member of his team.

Justin Badillion, 24, was sentenced Thursday morning in Washington County court. The judge gave him three to six years in prison, followed by four years probation.

"It protects not only the family but protects other people, other children," said the family's attorney, Matthew Keranko. "He's a sexually violent predator. He will have to have reporting requirements, and it protects the community and everybody else involved."

Badillion volunteered with the Canon-McMillan High School varsity girl's team. He was fired in 2005 after his first and only season with the team.
