Homeowner Cleared In Shooting Of Intruder; Suspect Charged

State police have formally charged one of two men accused of breaking into a Darlington Township, Beaver County, home early Friday.

Investigators said that man, Kevin Raines, 41, and Gary Brooks, 26, went into Keith McCue's residence in Darlington, armed with a rifle.

McCue woke up during the robbery, police said, and shot Brooks in the head with a handgun.

Brooks survived but has not been charged yet.

McCue was cleared of any wrongdoing.
