2008 SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Interstate 79 southbound was shut down Monday afternoon due to an accident near the Meadow Lands exit in Washington County.According to police, a minivan traveling northbound on I-79 rear-ended another car. Police said the car lost control, crossed the median and slammed into an oncoming vehicle.Police said two people were flown to Pittsburgh-area hospitals.There is no word on what caused the crash or how bad the injuries are.
