Beaver Man Shoots Would-Be Robber During Home Invasion

Police said a man shot a robber during a home invasion in Darlington Borough, Beaver County, Friday morning.

According to police, two robbers entered a home, taking control of the homeowner's rifle. At that point, police said, the homeowner pulled out a handgun, shooting one of the robbers.

The second robber fled the scene with the man's rifle, police said.

When police arrived, they found the wounded suspect and called for medical assistance. There is no word on that person's condition.

Police continue to investigate. There is no word on whether the homeowner will be charged in the shooting.
