Graffiti Suspect Arrested Again, Accused Of Big Damage

PITTSBURGH -- The alleged graffiti vandal known as "Mfone" has been arrested again.This time, Pittsburgh police accused Daniel Montano of doing more than $100,000 worth of damage between last July and December.The 22-year-old Highland Park man was arrested Wednesday on six felony charges of criminal mischief and was being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
Detective Frank Rende said Montano had changed his tag since his last arrest, but police knew his style.Police have called Montano Pittsburgh's number one graffiti vandal.When Montano turned himself in on Wednesday, he was free on bail after arrests last year on charges that he caused about $600,000 in damage.Montano has been arrested multiple times in Pittsburgh and faced vandalism charges in San Francisco.
