NASA Fixes Shuttle Fuel Sensors

POSTED: 5:45 pm EST January 3, 2008
UPDATED: 6:35 am EST January 4, 2008

NASA managers met Thursday to discuss the status of Atlantis' mission to the International Space station.

The shuttle is still sitting on the launch pad after a problem with the external fuel tank stopped a launch late last year.

On a teleconference, managers said a problem with a faulty fuel sensor in the external fuel tank has been fixed, and that a team will start inspecting Atlantis Monday.

Atlantis' earliest launch date is January 24. Alternates are February 2 and 7.
