Report: Dying CMU Professor Strikes Book Deal

The story of a dying Carnegie Mellon University professor has inspired people around the world.

Now, Randy Pausch, who is dying of cancer, will share his final lecture in print.

Pausch has been a guest on "Oprah" and "Good Morning America" after his "final lecture" because a huge hit on YouTube.

Now, USA Today is reporting that a publisher might have paid him as much as $6.7 million for a book version, which is expected to hit shelves in April.

Last month, Pausch got some good news. Chemotherapy had slowed down the progress of his disease somewhat.
