Mother To Stand Trial For Shaking Baby Boy

A Canonsburg mother will go on trial after being accused of shaking her 3-week-old son so violently that he suffered several skull fractures.

Jennifer Proctor, 24, a mother of three, was in court Thursday. Back in July, doctors at Children's Hospital discovered the fractures and said Proctor's son Wyatt had suffered brain injuries. Police said Proctor admitted shaking the boy but claimed she didn't do it intentionally.

The child's prognosis is not good. Doctors said Wyatt may never walk, talk or see again.

Proctor was held on charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment.
