Judge Orders Pittsburgh Councilwoman Carlisle To Surrender Mink Coat

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh city Councilwoman Twanda Carlisle has surrendered her mink coat to prosecutors.A judge last week ordered Carlisle to hand over the mink.Carlisle goes to trial on theft and ethics charges next week. District attorney's office investigators said Carlisle channeled tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to three co-conspirators who then allegedly kicked back the cash to the councilwoman. Carlisle is then accused of depositing that money into her personal or campaign checking accounts.
Prosecutors said Carlisle bought the coat with stolen taxpayer money.
