The Meadows Racetrack and Casino is getting another addition.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has approved plans for 78 more slot machines.

Those machines will be placed in a special, high-limit room, which will be added to the Meadows' temporary casino. They will accept bets between $1 and $25.

The extra machines will give the temporary casino a total of 1,816 machines.

The Meadows wanted more high-stakes machines because casino officials said people now stand in line to play the few already at the casino.

The new machines will include eight $25 machines, eight $10 machines, 20 $5 machines and 42 $1 machines.

The Meadows plans to have the machines operating by Dec. 1 as part of a High Limit Room, which will feature its own bar, automatic teller machine, security and some free food for high rollers.
