The ex-wife of 84 Lumber owner Joe Hardy said she was robbed by her current husband, Paul Ucman, but for two weeks police were unable to find him.

Ucman, 43, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the theft of jewelry from the couple's home.

Ucman spent the night in jail but is out on $10,000 bond until a hearing next week.

Debbie Hardy-Ucman told police that Ucman stole $5 million worth of diamonds and jewels from her safe.

According to police, Ucman's first ex-wife, Deann Vasquez, drove him over to the mansion. Police said Ucman then put Vaseline over surveillance cameras, went into the house and unlocked the safe, taking the jewelry.

According to police, Vasquez then drove him to her father's home.

Debbie Hardy-Ucman said the missing items included a 20-carat diamond ring, a 100-carat diamond necklace and a Rolex watch, among other jewelry pieces.

Vasquez's father returned the jewelry.

Police said Debbie Hardy and Ucman shared a troubled past.

In May, she accused him of ramming her car and throwing a steel frying pan through her kitchen window. The case was dropped when she refused to testify against him.
