Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najeh Davenport appeared in a Cleveland court on Monday on charges stemming from a domestic dispute with the mother of his child.

Davenport who turned himself in, pleaded not guilty.

He was charged with one count each of first-degree misdemeanors, domestic violence and endangering children. He was also charged with one count of unlawful restraint, a third-degree misdemeanor.

Earlier this month, Anita Person, the mother of Davenport's 5-year-old child, and Davenport both called 911 about a disturbance outside Person's Cleveland home. The fight was over the custody of the child, police said.

On Monday, Davenport surrendered his keys to Person's home.

Both Davenport and Person requested protection from abuse orders against each other, too.

Davenport's bail was set at $7,500. He posted that and is expected to practice with the Steelers and plans to play in Denver on Sunday.

His next court appearance in Cleveland is scheduled for Nov. 20.
