A man from Sweden won the World Pinball Championship this weekend in Scott Township, just outside Pittsburgh.

Jorian Engelbrektsson, 25, of Stockholm, took the $12,000 cash prize in the tournament finals on Sunday.

The event is held each year at the Professional/Amateur Pinball Association building on Keystone Drive.

Hardcore competitors from around the world -- including Germany, Canada and the Netherlands -- showed up to take a shot at the title this year.

"This is probably the most fun thing I come to every year," said Bowen Kerins, a two-time former champion from Salem, Mass.

"It lets me forget about myself and just get lost in the game," said David Nedde of Boston. "Set aside work for a little while and focus on one thing."
