A man who, at the time, was an assistant coach for the Washington Wild Things baseball team will be charged in connection with a crash that killed two people nearly two years ago.

Roy Jacobs has denied being behind the wheel, but Washington County District Attorney John Pettit said Thursday that DNA on the steering wheel helps establish that Jacobs was the driver of one of the vehicles in the collision.

Pettit also said Jacobs had a blood-alcohol content of 0.14 on the night of the crash.

Jacobs turned himself into police on Friday.

Police said the wreck happened in the early-morning hours of Dec. 2, 2005, on Interstate 70 in Canton Township.

A westbound pickup truck crossed the median and struck a car in the eastbound lanes, near the Chestnut Street exit, police said.

Jacobs and Robert Bernardini, 46, of Washington, were thrown from the truck, police said.

Bernardini was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car -- Richard Morris, 51, of Canonsburg -- was also killed.

Jacobs, 28, of Louisville, Ohio, will be charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, Pettit said.
