2007 PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh's casino will not open before 2009, putting it well behind an original plan to open next year.Majestic Star spokesman Bob Oltmanns refuses to speculate on a new timetable, but he acknowledges that based on a 16-month construction schedule it would not be possible for the gambling to begin before 2009.Casino owners are still waiting for a variety of permits, including one from the state Department of Environmental Protection.The casino was initially scheduled to open in March 2008.
