Fire Rips Through McKees Rocks Townhomes

Fire destroyed three townhomes and damaged two others early Wednesday morning in McKees Rocks, forcing the people who lived there to evacuate.

The fire started at about 4 a.m. at Meyers Ridge in the 500 block of Friendship Avenue. (See Map)

All residents made it outside safely.

One passer-by was treated for smoke inhalation, firefighters said.

The Allegheny County fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
