Police said two horses, a donkey and a goat were found malnourished and injured on a Lower Turkeyfoot farm in Somerset County this week.

Police said two rabbits were also discovered badly decomposing.

The Belgium mare, according to police, was about 500 pounds underweight with cuts inside her ankles from lack of hoof care.

The animals are now doing much better under the care of Second Chance Equine Association.

Grover Johnson from Dawson, Fayette County, will be charged with a number of counts of animal cruelty, police said.
