2007 UNIONTOWN, Pa. -- Joe Hardy, the 84-year-old millionaire founder of 84 Lumber, filed for divorce less than four months after marrying his third wife.  Watch the ReportHardy filed a divorce petition Monday in Fayette County, seeking to end his whirlwind marriage to 23-year-old Kristin Georgi.The petition, first reported by The Herald-Standard, cites "irreconcilable differences" and does not address alimony or property claims.At the weekly commissioner's meeting in Fayette County on Thursday, Hardy spoke with WTAE Channel 4 Action News reporter Jen Miele.He told Miele his home life with Georgi was intolerable and that he is focused on his re-election for county commissioner.Miele: "What do you think about the election coming up? Do you think this divorce marriage will play a role?"Hardy: "Let the voter's decide."Miele: "You want to stay here, right?"Hardy: "Yeah. I like it here. I don't want to go nowhere."In a phone interview with WTAE Channel 4 Action News, Georgi's mother said her daughter felt the same way about the couple's home life. She also said there was no third party involved.It's possible the details will come out in a book that Georgi's mother said Kristin is preparing to write using notes from her journal that she's kept over the past four months.Her mother said she moved out prior to Hardy filing the papers and wasn't aware he had decided to make the divorce official.Georgi's mother said she's surprised by all the attention the marriage attracted, but said that had nothing to do with their breakup.Hardy, a flamboyant philanthropist and an elected county commissioner, celebrated his birthday earlier this year with a party that included Christina Aguilera, Bette Midler and Robin Williams.Hardy had five children with his first wife and high school sweetheart, Dorothy, whom he divorced in 1997.He had two daughters with his second wife, Debra, an employee of the lumber company, before divorcing her.Georgi has a child from a previous relationship.Hardy and Georgi married May 5 in Las Vegas. They met earlier this year at the family's posh Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa, where Georgi was a salon employee.Hardy's 40-year-old daughter, Maggie Hardy Magerko, runs the resort and the lumber company.
