The Pittsburgh Steelers broke training camp on Friday, ready for the start of another new season.

One player who is sure to get a lot of game time is the team's new mascot, Steely McBeam.

New numbers from a Web poll on ThePittsburghChannel.com show fans are still not warming up to the idea of a mascot.

Seventy-nine percent of voters aren’t happy with the mascot's name. They're also leaving comments on ThePittsburghChannel.com's Steelers message board.

Whether you think the Steelers should have a mascot or not, or whether you like the name, kids at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh got quite the surprise when Steely showed up on Friday.

Sawyer Rebolz, 5, who has been in the hospital since July with leukemia, said seeing Steely was a nice little break.

One parent said the mascot's presence made a big difference, too.

"We walk around the halls here laughing and smiling and playing with everybody, and it's making a decent experience, I guess, out of a horrible thing," said parent Rory Boleware.
