Event organizers with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals held a rally on Tuesday in Market Square, Downtown.

Members held the "Bonfire of the Vanities," burning a pair of leather pants, a fur coat and a wool cap.

They said they want to show shoppers that wearing animal skins is cruel, vain and outdated.
