YouTube Hosts More Fire-In-The-Hole Pranks

Police Warn Fast Food Workers

More "fire-in-the-hole" attacks have been reported in North Huntingdon, police said.

The latest incident happened Tuesday at the drive-through of a Taco Bell in the Norwin Hills shopping center, according to police.

Police said there is video footage that shows a teenager ordering a soda, taking it from the fast-food worker, yelling "fire in the hole" and throwing it back in her face.

Police said it's a copycat version of a stunt that's been popularized in home videos posted on YouTube.com.

Some teenagers in Irwin said they don’t know why the pranks are so popular.

"I don't think it's funny. I mean there's not really any humor behind it. It's stupid, really -- I think," said Amanda Forgash, an Irwin teenager.

Taco Bell employees said they were told not to comment about the incident.

Police said the suspect is a white male, about 17 years old, with short, dark hair and a narrow, skinny face. He was driving a four-door car, possibly maroon.

Last Friday night's attack at a nearby Subway in North Huntingdon was more malicious, said police.

The video showed someone pulling up in a red truck and throwing a liquid mixture with pepper spray at a fast-food attendant's face.

Now, police say there was a similar stunt last Wednesday at the same Subway.

Other teenagers, who said they have friends who work in fast-food, said they just don't see the humor in these pranks.

"What if you were working there and they threw something at you? That would be bad to do. You wouldn't like it," said Joshua Robison, of Irwin.

Police said they are getting the word out to warn fast food workers that this is taking place.

One worker said he would be on his guard.

"I might have to work window, too, and I just don't want to put up with it," said Bill Rowe, a fast-food worker.
