Alligator Found In Homewood

Police Say 4-Foot-Long Alligator Tracked Down

Officials said Thursday night that they found an alligator about 4 feet long in Homewood.

Residents in the area said they spotted him walking through the neighborhood, so the residents said they called police.

Animal control officers said they tracked it down on Oakwood Street.

The alligator was placed in a cage at the Animal Rescue League, officials said.
