Route 65 Landslide Prompts Wal-Mart To Hold Public Meeting

Wal-Mart said it has a plan to stop the ground from moving on the site of a new store along Route 65 in Kilbuck Township, and the public will hear about the plan next week.

The retailer will hold a public meeting on Tuesday to show people how it plans to prevent future landslides at the site.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Avonworth High School auditorium.

In September, tons of dirt and rock from the site fell onto Route 65, closing the highway it for weeks.
