The Meadows Casino welcomed on Monday its first out-of-state charter bus.

Passengers made the trip from Youngstown to check out the slots.

The guests got T-shirts at their arrival and cheers from Meadows employees.

The casino expects about one-third of tourist buses will come from out-of-state, which means business for the local economy.

"Well, it's important to the state of Pennsylvania and us too," said Meadows General Manager Michael Graninger. "We're in a good neighborhood and have a great address. They used to go down to Wheeling and Mountaineer. Now they can play at home."
