Meadows Casino Sets Pa. Opening Day Customer Payback Record

Welcoming more than 12,000 visitors during its first day of operation on Monday, the Meadows Casino thanked its guests with a better payback than any other casino in the state for an opening day.

According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, gamblers bet $8.6 million at the Meadows Casino in Washington County on its opening day.

Gamblers won $7.9 million, leaving the casino with a revenue of about $701,000.

"Now that's a record our players will enjoy," said Mike Graninger, vice president and general manager of the Meadows." "It was a highly successful day both for The Meadows and our guests."

More than 11,000 people visited the casino on its opening day.
