A Westmoreland County woman will stand trial in connection with the death of a teenager who died after a party held at her apartment in January.

Prosecutors charged Dianne Rose Adorante, 37, with involuntary manslaughter and corruption of minors after a party in her apartment where Samantha Scheuring, 16, died of alcohol poisoning.

The girl's father said he's glad someone will be held responsible, but Adorante's attorney said it wasn't her fault.

"It's been known as a party haven for kids," said Scheuring's father, Jeff. "Something had to happen for it to be looked at seriously."

"They're young kids," said defense attorney James Antoniono. "They were drinking. I think the ones they didn't call, you'll find testimony that's going to be all over the place in this case. I don't think you're going to find two people who will say the same thing."

Two other men face charges for purchasing the booze the teens drank that night.

Matthew Baker, 21, has already been bound over. David Leone, 26, is currently in prison after failing to appear in court for an unrelated case.
