A Highland Park man was arrested on Monday and accused of tagging at least 100 locations with graffiti, mostly in Squirrel Hill and East Liberty.

Daniel Montano, 21, who also has an address in San Francisco, has caused over $500,000 in damages between both locations since March, police said.

Montano was charged in March after police said they caught him tagging "MFONE" onto three buildings in Oakland, causing about $3,200 to $14,000 in damage per building, said Pittsburgh Police Detective Daniel Sullivan.

Police said Montano has been charged for tagging at least three times -- twice in Pittsburgh and once in San Francisco.

He was arraigned early Tuesday morning and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
