Allegheny County Executive Jim Roddey has compiled a list of items for which he will seek funding, WTAE's Emily Ryan reported Thursday.

Among the major items on the list:

  • $66.2 million for Port Authority projects. Includes North Shore-Downtown light rail connector, increased light rail service in South Hills, and more buses.
  • $28 million for the proposed high-speed Maglev train system, which would run link Pittsburgh International Airport to Greensburg with stops in downtown Pittsburgh and Monroeville.
  • $5 million to train, coordinate and dispatch emergency crews who would respond to terrorist activity throughout the region.

Roddey plans to lobby for the money in Washington next week.
