A woman was killed when she lost control of her car, was thrown onto railroad tracks and then struck by a passing train Wednesday morning.

Diane Midzianowsky, 46, of Aliquippa, Beaver County, hydroplaned on Route 51 during a heavy rain storm around 3 a.m.

Her car flipped over a guardrail and struck the railroad bed, ejecting her through the windshield. She landed on the tracks and was struck by a train.

Deputy Coroner Wayne Tatalovich said Midzianowsky was probably dead before she was struck by the train.
